Yes, it is a good idea if only numeric password works as usually password require alphanumeric along with a special character.
Thank you

We also use bitlocker and it loads before JAWS, so it can be a bit tricky if you don’t have light perception. I can see when the screen is dark because it’s just starting up with the HP logo,

As they do more and more so called improvements, they support less and less legacy support.
And there are always bugs in the first few releases.

Jaws 2020 running on a Windows 10 system will have improvements with the Jaws cursor and the new Jaws Scan Cursor which will make it by far better than Jaws 2019, 2018 or 18 ever were.

I would, because 20 20 might not play well with some programs that 2019 does.

No, Jaws versions are independent from each other and if you install Jaws 2019 on your system which has Jaws 2018 and you then also install Jaws 2020 (still in Beta probably for another 3 weeks or so)

Re: Goldwave Scripts?
I did not actually know this.
I found it. Might be fun to play with. I am looking for something to do a little video editing with, though I don't record my own vids.

I noticed they also have a video editor. Only problem is JAWS does not work with it that much if at all. I don't expect it to describe the video, but, at least tell me when it is recording and where

NO. You can install any JAWS version you want on your system, and it will in fact not remove any other JAWS version.

This may be an app specific setting, like for MS Word. And, that app specific setting can likewise be particular to one version of JAWS but not another, like in your situation. Check your app
