I saw some discussion of Notepad ++ on the NVDA list and the conclusion there was that the Notepad ++ spell checker addon was inaccessible even with the help of the NVDA addon but I would be happy

There are some good open source word processors, such as Notpad ++
I don't know if it spell checks though.

Spell Checking and HJ Pad
Dear List
I think many people forget that for over a decade now there has been a basic word processor provided with Jaws called HJ Pad.
On my system it is located in

It worked because you had a newer version.
Your friend could not tandem into your machine with an older version than you are using.

I'm fairly certain that she was using an earlier version. I remember
being concerned that the connection would not go through

JAWS 2020, I'm afraid.
It's an unfortunate limitation of the Tandem concept.

Hi list:
What version of Jaws would you need to "tandem" into someone's pc who's using the 2020 release?
Sincerely,

Re: What is the best youtube to windows media player converter that works with jaws 16 to jaws 18?
Hm. I have that, and it does work, but I didn't think it had access to that manny formats. It seems a lot of people convert to wav and then use another pgoramme to convert to their compressed format

You could use VLC for this. I assume you mean .wma format? VLC will convert anything, though the interface is a bit complicae/not obvious d and even though I've been using it to play videos for years,
