Well, not “convert” per se, but you can use dictation software – you probably won’t really like the results though and, this is why they still hire transcribers after all these years.

If it doesn't, perhaps you can plug in an audio cord, or at least place the phone or tablet's microphone close to a speaker, start it and leave the room.

The IOS version of Google Keep will automatically transcribe recordings as well, it is free, and I think that you can import, I would have to check.

I did it successfully, but it was a couple of years ago, I just
set the vm to boot from an iso, installed from there (I think I needed
eyeballs) and then changed to boot from its hd.

There is an iPhone and probably Android app called Just Press Record, $4.99, that tries to transcribe its own recordings, but naturally it has to be a clear recording. I do not know if it can do that

I have found a number of options for taking MP3 (and other recorded audio) and feeding it through a program to convert to text. Mind you, you'd then have to copy that text and put it in MS-Word or

The .mp3 file is an audio file; the ms word file is a word file. You can’t take an audio file and convert it to printed words.

You would need something like Dragon Dictate that normally processes the spoken word into text, and if it has an import function.

The default setting is to search on both file contents and file names, provided you have left the default Windows Indexing options in place which index on both.
