I open the document, press f6 and tab to enable editing and press enter. You
will need to save the document after you do this or the next time you open
the document it will open in protected view

If you have the file in word, alt f then the letter I then the letter e
might do the trick.
Also, using control s for save as will give you the ability to save it as a
new file.

If the file is downloaded from the internet, go into contex menu, select property and uncheck the unblock checkbox. If that still doesn't work, quite likely the file has been set to protected by the

Two things to try.
Sometimes hitting f6 a time or two will let you enable editing.
Or, try, alt-f then i then p, and arrow down.
It could be Alt-f i o p.

I used to use it when it was at around version 9, but that was a couple
years ago, so I don't know if it is still accessible.

For that matter, you could run NVDA on both machines and use that, it's free
and has less overhead for the memory than Jaws does.

for such a thing for years. If its just one site, you could install
Jaws, use your code and just have it not start at login or for
