You proposed this method to overcome a problem with copying text from the
Internet. I was having the same problem that I believe Kim was. I've

Paste INTO Notepad, and then do Control A to select all and Control C to
copy and paste into waht everr you want with no formatting.

I believe what might be happening is that you are getting two numbers and cannot read because they are sort of outside the margin. Once you type 1., the next time you hit enter the number 2 goes in

If you "Paste Special" using unicode text, all you get is the text. In Word, for example, whatever font, style, or attribute is in effect at the point of the cursor where you paste will apply to the

These are useful instructions and suggestions, but I believe Kim is aware of
standard copy and paste techniques. She may be having the problem I do with
JAWS 12 that JAWS somehow won't select text

I agree with Sharon; however, if you want to avoid clutter, instead of using control plus v to paste, try using the "paste special" option if, for example, you are using Microsoft Word or WordPad.

Kim,
You would select the text as you do in any other program with
shift+control+left and/or right arrows then control+c to copy. Press alt+tab
to regain focus to the document where you want to paste
