To remove a shortcut assignment, go through the same procedure you use to
set one. When you tab to the field with the mistaken letter, delete it and
replace it with the one you want.

Okay, we're on the same page. If you haven't already done so, can you try
this experiment? As you know, the command works for the application where
focus is. Open two or three applications.

Suggest you do a JAWS repair. Get the original file/DVD and select repair
from the various choices.

Note that it is not a single key-press the way jaws+ctrl+s is, it is
two separate keys, first jaws+space then s. the jaws+space triggers a
layered keyboard mode from which a bunch of other modes are
