braille characters
Hi,
If I would want to type braille characters on the screen using jaws how
would I do this?
Using word or all across the board would be even better.
Thanks.

Rick,
These words, and numerous others in the article, contain a symbol that my
synthesizer identifies as character 173. Google results tell me 173 in ASCII
represents the inverted exclamation mark.

Replacing \173 with a grave accent works in Word, but not well on the
Internet. I tried the apostrophe and some of the word now pronounce
correctly, but others still refuse to do so.

Re: JFW talks funny on this one American English website
Seems as though many of the words have a character 173 inserted where a
discretionary hyphen could occur. This would be an invisible character to
anyone else reading the article, but JAWS finds it.

A quick way to read the cc field is to press alt-4 on the number row above
the letters. The message must be open.

That's because there is no shortcut for the View Menu in Word2010. You have to arrow over to the status bar and set it from there.
