Re: PROBLEM WITH JAWS 2020 AND BRAILLE
Well I hate to tell you this but sadly you will have to replace the rail drivers in jaws for any displays that you used with narrator because the narrator will have erased those drivers and put in

Re: braille problem
I had a similar issue with a Focus display. The support person at FS had to enable Braille support in Narrator, change the output to focus; then turn off support in Narrator.

Hi Mike,
Thank you very much for those GREAT key strokes. For years I’ve been using the insert and the down arrow keys and I like this new system.
I just tried it on an existing Word

Re: Accessibility of Open Broadcaster Software with JAWS
While the accessibility is a little quirky, it's all there, and you might want to reclass some controls, but it's all very usable as is.

You may have to reinstall any drivers for those displays again.
Or, run a Jaws repair and see if that fixes it.

Well I decided to play with narrator a bit. I got my braille display to function properly and explored a bit. I decided that narrator just wasn’t for me. I attempted to get jaws 2020 to work with

Re: An access issue
Hi, Justin. I don't know if this will correct your problem with opening third-party apps, but try the following,
1. Go to Windows Settings with Windows Key plus I, if you have Windows 10.

Adrian,
Thanks for that clarification. Mike is certainly the master at providing
detailed instructions at bending Microsoft Office to our wills with JAWS.

Alan,
FYI, yes JAWS key+pagedown/3 still usually works with Word 2016. However, sometimes it fails, in which case Mike B's instructions explain how to return the status line to showing these items,

I don't think the keystrokes for this have changed in quite a while.
I don't remember now if it was the same in word 2003, which is the one I started with, but I know there were keystrokes to get it

With the current version of Microsoft 365, once focused on the Status bar with F6, you can indeed use the context menu (application) key to get access to the Status Bar options.

Hi,
As an alternative key combination to obtain word count, you can press ALT R then W. This works in word 2016, not sure about other versions.
