Re: Spelling error and indicator sounds
Hello Mike,
On question number 2 I have the setting of sound alert at top and bottom of page but no sound happens. I am using the latest version of JAWS 2019 and Windows 10 along with word 2016.

Re: Jaws and synthesizers
As far as I know this is not possible through one sound card audio
settings although there may be mixer software that I am not aware of.
When I did some work for the RNIB years ago to solve this

No, Word just opens the document, but generally does it very well. I would wonder if it handles the line numbers better than Adobe, but I don't have a document of this sort to test. If you'd like to

Kelby,
I'm doubtful there is anything JAWS can do to make your document more
readable. It sounds as if whoever created the document was using Microsoft
Word to number the lines and when they saved it

I wonder how the recognition of the OCR feature in JAWS would handle the problem being discussed.

Re: Reading PDF Documents with Line Numbers
I don't think you'd get any choice for reading order if you sent the document to word. Probably the best choice for this situation would be to use k1000 to recognize the pdf using the omnipage

Jaws and synthesizers
Hello all,
I was wondering if there is a way to make Jaws only send output to the right or left audio channel? If not jaws, can this be done to one of the synthesizers that come with Jaws?

I wonder what would happen if you sent that PDF to Word, assuming you're running something modern, Microsoft 365 for instance. Now I seldom open PDF's in Adobe. I have Word in my SendTo folder, so

Re: Video Chatting on Facebook Using JAWS
Never tried using this feature, but you can download the messenger “app” and install that. It’s a Windows Store app. Go to
http://www.messenger.com
It has buttons to audio or video call

I too, when using control shift g, get asked if I want to save the changes. I didn’t know about this command.

I have a similar problem with the lyrics sent to me by Rock Choir, so a

Well, it also depends on how you have search itself configured. It is important to make sure that your default is "Current Folder" rather than All Subfolders, or to switch to only search in Current

Depending on how many levels deep the folder is.
using the command prompt, and then like the good old DOS days, do CD\foldername, and again the backslash, next folder until your crompt shows c:\

Hi, Brian. I tried doing what you said. I opened the folder Documents, searched for files with an mp3 extension, and it gave me mp3 results from subfolders, as well as files which no longer reside in
