The settings in windows 10 works fine for me as well, and I do not have to turn on Touch Cursor.

Well, apparently AnyBurn doesn’t use a database, so it sounds like CD Ex is a better choice.
I just use iTunes for myself so I had not actually used AnyBurn for this.

Richard, I am surprised regarding your statements, for me Jaws 2020 works just fine in Settings and if I switch to the Jaws cursor, which in settings activates the scan cursor, I can read all the same

I have the occasional "burp" in terms of Windows Media Player not being able to access the media database, but it's only occasional. We're still ripping away in my household with Windows Media Player

Firewall is turned on by default and it might be a good idea to leave it like that. Add exceptions to the firewall instead of turning it off. I use CDex

I would suggest upgrading to JAWS 2020. If that isn't enough to fix it, a complete reinstallation of Windows would be a good idea.

Sadly, in windows 10, Jaws is mostly useless in the Settings.
I think you may be able to use the touch cursor or the jaws cursor, but I just unload Jaws or put it into Speak on Demand and launch
