I also wonder if you might solve the problem by first deleting the JAWS shortcut from your desktop. Next, copy a new shortcut from the start menu to the desktop and reassign a shortcut key

David, I just removed Malware Bites a few days ago, and still no joy. It all stopped working when I put the free JAWS 2020 on my computer. I have made sure that the previous versions of JAWS do not

Why not go with, J2020, just to cut down on what you have to listen to? And with subsequent version shortcuts you or someone else has on their desktop, J19, J2018....

If you have a desktop icon for your JAWS or any ap, just hit Windows D and hit the first letter of the ap that you wish to open.

Our church uses Zoom and you can connect with or without a camera and the view on your side makes no difference

I too have had no joy with desktop shortcuts ever since installing JAWS 2020. It is not only the JAWS hot key that doesn’t work, but all of my short cuts that quit working.

I have used Zoom on many occasions on a laptop without a camera so no you do not need one. The participants hear you but there is no view obviously of you just an icon with your name.
