Re: Width of cell in Excel
Thank you for this. I keep a running average of glucose readings in excel. Occasionally I want to make comments and am using the column to the right of the statistics for this.

I, for one, can't remember when i last heard that one. I'm currently using the beta with my verbosity set to intermediate, I wonder if that has anything to do with it? I've been using that setting

So you never hear "Jaws has lost focus. Press alt plus tab"? Is announce lost focus turned off in settings? I have been using Jaws for over 25 years on dozens of systems and it has always happened

I run a little program that automatically maximizes whatever screen / window that comes into focus and since I installed this little goodie I haven't had this focus loss problem. Stascom info below:

If the column is selected, alt-h-o-i will adjust to the widest cell; if not, it will adjust the width to that of the current cell, whether or not there are larger cells.

Brian,
How much text will fit in a cell depends on the width of the column in which the cell resides. I don't believe Excel allows setting the width of individual cells. How text which takes more

You make a good distinction. The problem isn't the notification, but the fact that it might be necessary.
In my case, I don't get it often, and usually I can recognize something I did to cause it,

Jessica,
I am glad you are not experiencing this issue. For those of us who do it
remains quite annoying . 2020 version was better than 2019 but so far with
the beta we have gone backwards.

I believe this issue hasn't occurred since

Yes, seems to be worse in 2021 beta although I will wait til final release
before making an actual comparison. This has been a JAWS issue for some
versions now.
