Re: What do I gain with Windows 10 as a blind person?
Windows 10 is working great for me... I don't mind the fact that Jaws
doesn't automatically read search results, as it's usually not the first
result I am looking for, so must arrow down the list

Re: Accessing Windows 10 Start Menu Search Results
It does, but not automatically as you type your search term; you have to use
the arrow keys to get JAWS to read them.

Hey Brad,
For sure, that makes total sense. If therrre's some great new functionality
with Edge when Jaws is able to support it, I'll let the list know.
Cheers,
Russell

Well, I'm glad it's working for you on your newer laptop, and hope it does
the same on your desktop! :)

Re: Accessing Windows 10 Start Menu Search Results
Are you saying that JAWS does read the start search entries. I was under the
impression that it didn't read them.
Thanks
Debbie

Oh, I can see that once I knew the keystrokes, that would be way better. I
have some written from 2010 and think they will probably work on 2013.

Thanks. That is what I've been doing, seems maybe a little slow, a little
clumsy, but probably the more I do it, the more I'll get used to it.

So, Bill, if I lose JAWS instructions, I might not know what I'm doing or

Hello Carolyn,
Initially you arrow and tab around until you find what you want, but as you
do Jaws is announcing the keystrokes for the particular items. Then when you
want to go there the next time

Bill,
I don't think I'll be upgrading my current Windows 7 computer to Windows 10 in 2020. It will be 9 years old by then if it's still running. I'll just buy a shiny new computer with Windows 10,

If you are using the virtual ribbon, you can press alt, left or right arrow
to view, and then tab around until you come across the current view.
Cheers Kevin.
