Re: What do I gain with Windows 10 as a blind person?
Thanks for that. I'm not sure I see the usefulness in that. If I wanted to have separate somethings, I'd just create a second user account so I could have separate documents folders, downloads, etc.

Brad,
One other feature Windows 10 introduces is virtual desktops. I have not yet
tried it out, but if I understand correctly, you could, for instance, have
separate desktops for work and personal

Re: Installation of Windows 10
No, but if I use the arrow keys, JAWS does read the result that has focus.
So, while not having results read automatically is an inconvenience, at
least there is a way to navigate and activate them.

Re: Calling All Script Writers
Thanks for this tip. I'm trying to apply it to iTunes move forward and backward through a track. The command is control+alt+LeftArrow and control+alt+RightArrow. Jaws assigns those keys to table

Hi,
And when you type something, does JAWS read results automatically? I and
other WinTen users observed it doesn't.
Cheers,
Joseph

get windows 10 access
I haven't upgraded yet but I did sign up for the free upgrade. Sometimes I have a "Get Windows 10" window that appears to be blank with Jaws. Need to OCR it to get any text. I'm not planning to

When I bring up the start menu, JAWS says, "Search Box".

What do I gain with Windows 10 as a blind person?
Hi,
I've been following all this Windows 10 stuff with great interest, and I just have a question (with a lot of background first):
So FS says you shouldn't use Edge, you should use Firefox or IE.

Addison, I went back and looked at the Repair email you sent and you are
correct. Nothing in it other than email header stuff from several emails.
I don't know about Repairing JAWS so I didn't look

Re: removing jaws license
I believe you need to call FS for another license. removing the existing license does not put the key back.

Hi Pablo,
I don't think it has anything to do with age.
If you want to go back to Windows 7, there is an easier way.
