Hi, Bob. CAPSLOCK plus J won't work to bring up the JAWS menu when the laptop is in JAWS laptop mode. CAPSLOCK plus J equals Say Prior Word.

If you're using Capslock as the JAWS key, you need to press Capslock + Control + Shift + J to open the JAWS window.

While I agree with you, entirely, that it's best practice to split a topic off, with a new title, when the actual topic of conversation changes, there are times where thread drift occurs

isn't running from the system tray.

Sorry if any of this has already been mentioned, I'm chiming in a lot late. Hopefully you chose laptop keyboard when Jaws was installed. If so, you should be able to use the caps lock in place of
