Re: August 2018 update
Also going to let you know that if you are user of Skype Electron, do not update it because if you update it, you will loose announcements of Skype such as sending messages deleting chats etc!

Re: Microsoft news app with Jaws 2018?
No, it won’t because there is no actual text in the window.

What if you tried virtualizing the window with Alt+JawsKey+W? Would it read better that way?

Yes, you can, if you use up and down arrows to select the text you wish to copy, then CONTROL plus C to copy that into the clipboard. Then open up Word, or a text editor, and paste the text you copied

Re: Windows desktop question
Thanks. Took me a bit to find that checkbox, but I did. I did not realize that option would impact desktop icons and the list in the navigation pane. Glad to have it changed.

I assume this is a balloon.
During boot-up, my computer always dings and invites me to “click here to install” a printer utility.
How can I interact with that announcement? It does not stay on

This is because use check boxes to select items is enabled in file explorer options
Disable this option if its too annoying or have no use for the check box selection option
