I think you would do this through the Jaws Setting screen on your PC, at
least that's how I do it. There are braille options, and you should be able
to change it there.

Hi Netbat,
Using JAWS, try activating the password edit field (any edit field) then press Insert+2 until you hear "None." You can now enter a password and not hear any feedback whatsoever.

Is the cable specific to the device or does it use a USB with the three
standard connectors?
If it is USB then places like Staples or Amazon would have such in a variety
of lengths and connectors.

i use window eyes for passwords then reload jaws.
a complete waste of time when they could give us the option to turn keypresses on or off in settings.
