Bill, Wouldn’t I first have to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it? When I run it after reinstalling it, how long do I have before it automatically updates itself?

If you are using the ESR version of Firefox, and you don’t turn off the updates, it will eventually update to version 60 ESR, and that one won’t work unless you have JAWS 2018.
