Hi, I see no reason why a JAWS install would affect that. However, sndvol will launch the volume control, you should be able to pin it to your start menu or where ever you wish. cheers Rob Whyte

i would be careful about removeing shared components if you have other f s programs installed. i have openbook 8 and i don't know what components to remove without messing up openbook.

it might still be there. but hidden in the icon overflow list. try opening the notification chevron properties. there you might see the speaker icon and unhide it then it will show in the sys tray.
