What I do in order to not lose the session since it’s most likely I’ve got tabs open that I’d rather not close, is when Firefox appears to hang on one tab/window, I first launch the task

HP puts up some wallpaper before the logon screen, Mike Dell does not do that that’s why think this is unique to HP. This gives jaws part of the problem at logon. May want to try narrator or as I

Shirley, for some unknown reason, Microsoft has Edge defaulting as the reader for PDF files. It is a mystery to me why they did this.

Assuming we’re all having the same problem with Firefox, then, no. There’s a chance JAWS 2018 will still receive an update to fix this issue, but I’m not necessarily counting on it.

i've been unable to use Chrome since lastweek. And google voice is not quite right on my phone. I switched to Edge for now. Think google is effecting some functions. My son's phone does the same

One thing you could try is to uncheck all the automatic startup in JAWS, then reboot the machine. JAWS won't load. Load it manually then recheck it. I've seen this work sometimes.
