Re: How to make jaws read number of items
Hi, Tom. Do you mean SHIFT TAB or do you mean INSERT TAB? SHIFT just backs up one window in Outlook. For instance, if I am in the folder list, SHIFT TAB just backs up to the submit search

Dumpster diving? I find that offensive. If you recommend blind people go dumpster diving then you are an idiot. And I don’t care if your offended by that. Deal with it.

Re: How to make jaws read number of items
Sieghard,
Conversations in my Outlook 2013 are turned off and all seems to work as they should except when there are more than 23 messages in the list.
Anyway, it is not a big deal and does not

Hi Tom,
It also depends whether you have conversations turned on in Outlook, I find that this does make it more difficult for Jaws to give an exact message count as in 3 of 46 or whatever.

I have never seen Outlook put messages just into the Outbox folder if you press Send by default.
It would help to know which version of Office Michael is using and if he just has his Gmail account set

Tom,
I thought the original question was about files in folders as in Windows Explorer.
IN Outlook 2016 for me, insert+numpad3 gives me the total number of items in view, how many are unread etc.

Although I do think Kelly's message was a little over the top, I would not go as far to say Kelly was labeling people. I think Dan Longmore's message was based on the fact that, a nerve was touched.

Richard,
Under Outlook 2013 and Jaws 2019, the commands you mentioned give different results on my system.
Pressing insert numpad 3 mentions something about filters which I don't understand.
