First Version of JAWS
I started with JAWS 18 back on May 15, 2017 when Windoe-Eyes was discontinued. Since I had the latest version of Window-Eyes, this was a free update for me. Now I am upd to JAWS 2019.

Okay I see what you're trying to do, finally! LOL Sorry for not catching it earlier. About the only thing I can think of that you could have done to assigned a sound to be played for

You get so many keys to put JAWS on multiple devices.
One thing you can do with the yearly version, is that you can take the key off of one machine you are not using, and transfer that key to another

I started using Jaws version 2 or 3. I remember calling support and Ted Henter answered. That is when the company was called Henter Joyce.

JAWS for DOS – I think the version was 2.31. I didn’t use the Windows version until relatively recently – late 2014.

My first version of JAWS was 3.7.
I began using that version when I went back to Ohio State University in 2002!
