Yes Jaws will say, Use virtual PC cursor off &, Use virtual PC cursor on, when invoking the, Insert + Z, keystroke.
When you press, Insert + Z twice quickly you'll hear Jaws report,

The command mentioned brings up Jaws speech history.
If you want to use it for a larger block of text I wanted to add that it makes sense to first clear speech history with Jaws Key + Spacebar

the previous page. also control+shift+n opens the go to page dialog

You might try going to the speech history, (insert+spacebar then the letter “h”. Then you can find the text you want and copy that to the clip board.

in several apps like Chrome and Outlook there is a sound played as soon as I type a word that contains a spelling mistake and press space. I like that but I'd like to adjust it a bit.

What you can do, is go into the JAWS settings center, and make the insert key a sticky key!
Just press Insert+6 on the top numbers row, and type in the word:
Insert
And you will get a

Have you ever tried sticky keys to do things like insert-z or
whatever? I don't know if insert is something you can use with sticky
keys, but it might be worth a shot.
