Program Event For Top & Bottom Alert With Sound
Hi All,
The Program Event , Default Beep, is what the program / sound event is called that you would assign a sound to, if you want to hear a sound when you go to the top or bottom
of a file.

Re: Jaws 2018 Update on desktop with window 10
be aware, what I provided is the path to where you'll find the setting.
if you have JAWS starting up from the system tray or not, you'll have to
adjust what you have to do. do you know what to do?

Re: A question about system sounds in windows 10
as my friend tried with his Windows 10 system, the reg hack doesn't play
the sound at shutdown, even though the Exit Windows event is revealed in
the system sound event list. oh well.

Another way to tell that your computer has shut down is to connect a portable hard drive to one of its USB ports. At least with my WD Passport portable drive, I can feel the motor whirring away when

Re: A question about system sounds in windows 10
Great suggestion, Maria, but my new Dell Windows 10 laptop does not have a DVD drive.
Not trying to be difficult; in fact, you need to know that I'm smiling as I write this.
A little levity is good

However,
I know of an easier way to tell if comp is on/off;
When listening to turn it off,
Just put your ear on comp,
When you no longer hear the motor whirring,

Tom and others, I have a very low tech way of knowing if your machine is completely shut down or not. I love listening to the Chicago Bears football games on a small transister radio, remember

I found a nice detailed article on how to do this in the registry, which does bring the options back to the control panel sounds scheme, but it had no impact on my system. I selected sounds for exit
