Re: [win10] FW: Jaws with windows 10 and seeing mobile hot spot
If you want the JAWS for Windows group, you're in it.
The Windows 10 for Screen Reader Users group is "screen reader agnostic" and if you want "the skinny" on that group send an e-mail to:

Re: [win10] FW: Jaws with windows 10 and seeing mobile hot spot
Is this the one that’s for jaws?
Is this windows 10 thing at groups.io the one for jaws people, or is it screen reader agnostic .
DO you have the link to join the list?
Thanks!

Re: JAWS and Udemy?
Future Learn is quite good with jaws for free courses. It's the most
accessible platform I've tried, but obviously there must be a course
on there you want to study.
I don't like Udemi at all.

Re: stop keys being spoken
Hi. Sounds like your typing echo has been reset to announce each key which is pressed. Here is how to silence those keys.
1. Press insert-V for the Quick settings dialog.
2. You should be in an edit

Re: Why is my Outlook not sending email?
I'm thinking it should be Ctrl+S? Also try using the F9 key to send/receive all.

Re: Excel and insert+enter or insert+delete?
It depends on the version of JAWS. With JAWS 2018 if I press insert+numpad3, when a group of cells is selected, JAWS reads average, count, and sum of the numbers. With JAWS 2019JAWS sometimes reads

Re: Why is my Outlook not sending email?
Also, unless one makes settings tweaks, Send/Receive is cyclic, occurring every so many minutes. By default Outlook does not do a Send/Receive upon exit, though it can be set to do so.

Re: Why is my Outlook not sending email?
Hi,
Do you have an attachment that is extremely large? This may either take a great deal of time or cannot be sent.
Also, on occasion Outlook does not send and the e-mail goes to your draft

Re: Excel and insert+enter or insert+delete?
I still have tutor messages going in JAWS. If you have those turned off, as I will soon, maybe you wouldn't hear anything.

Interesting that it teells you something if it doesn't work. I don't hear a thing. Oh well, at least I now know how it is supposed to work.

Re: Jaws with windows 10 and seeing mobile hot spot
Hi,
Okay, how are you getting there? If it is via Settings app (Settings/Network and internet/Wi-Fi/Show), then there's really no way to make it behave like old days.
Cheers,
Joseph
