Perhaps uninstall Acrobat DC and reinstall it.
I am using the latest Windows 10 and Acrobat DC with Jaws 2018 and not having any problem like this.

the problem is that that also disables correct spelling as you type, and correct grammar as you type. It does not, however, disable the awesome buzzer when JAWS finds a misspelled word.

Hi, Tom. To find the AutoCorrect Detection setting:
1. Open Word.
2. Press INSERT plus V for JAWS Quick Settings.
3. Arrow down to Editing Options.
4. Make sure AutoCorrect Detection is unchecked.
