Suite Hi, Mike. No, you can't transfer the normal template from Word 2010 to Office 2016 Pro. This is because they have a different format, and a different file extension. The templates in Word 2010 have a .dotm extension, whereas the templates in Office 2016 Pro have a .dotx extension.

The Normal.dotm file is a special form of template that has existed for all versions of MS-Office since 2007 (I think, as that's when all the doc and dot files got X tacked on to the end). It is separate from user created document templates, which are, as you note, DOTX files. Normal.dotm should be located in C:\Users\{insert appropriate user folder here}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates and can be copied and pasted back in to that folder, or the equivalent folder for another user, if you want all of the changes you've made to your blank word document defaults over time. DOTM and DOTX both have been in use for many years. And if you're someone who creates document templates you'll have way more DOTX files. Normal.dotm is generally singular (unless you've made a copy for backup somewhere). -- Brian - Windows 10 Pro, 64-Bit, Version 20H2, Build 19042 One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time. ~ André Gide

How will screenreaders do this?
Will Jaws and NVDA have apps on the Microsoft

Another good reason to lean more towards

You might also try using the key combination control/shift v which takes you to your folder tree. If the files you want are in this list just arrow to where you want to put the email and hit enter. If not, arrow up to the top of the tree and essentially repeat the steps you take to move from one email to the other using your arrows. Once you are in the email account you want arrow to target file and hit enter and voila.
It's probably possible to use first (single letter) navigation strokes to get you to the move command through the ribbons.

If both of these accounts are in your outlook program, you can open each of the messages, one-by-one, and when open, hit alt key, go to file and down to info. Hit enter on info and then enter on move message. When you have done this, pick the other email address folder you choose to save these in. Feel free to contact me off list, I will be glad to help so not to overwhelm everybody with too many messages.

Van Lant, Robin
Marianne, The easiest way is the method that’s been mentioned a couple times where you select the lines you want and hit tab. You could also set the indent under paragraph settings, but I think this is more cumbersome of a process than just tabbing for a one off document. You said you’d used tab, but if you select all the lines first, that will at least save you the time of tabbing each line individually. And if you know you’ll write a letter again, you can certainly do this once, then just save the document so you can open it again next time you need a letter with yoru address.

I don’t know if this still works, but it did when I could still see.
Type the address then select all of it by hitting Shift + Down Arrow once for
each line of the address. Then press Tab and the whole address should move
across the page as you keep pressing the Tab Key until it bumps against the
Right margin. If you go to far, new lines will appear. Just press
Shift Tab until the original number of lines in your address are present.

Hi Marianne,
You want to select the lines you want aligned to
the left first, and then do control L
and then you can do the same with the right and
control R.
Or you can do the entire document one way first by
selecting all with control A and then specific lines you can select and move as
described above.

If I understand what you are trying to do correctly then one way to do this is to create a 2 column table in Word stretching across the whole width of the page, assuming that this is the word processor that you are using. You may want to check the properties of the table to make sure that grid lines of the table are not visible. This will enable you to position an address or any text on the right side of a page and you can have this text in this column either left or right aligned. Provided you have the table grid line invisible this provides a neat layout. I have used this method in the past to place my own address details in column 1, left aligned, and the address I am sending to in the second column right aligned. I am told this looks professional.
