Hi, Kevin. No. I stated the version of Zoom, so that if any shortcut keys get added in future versions of Zoom, people will know that they have an older version of the shortcut list. Probably the reason ALT plus A did not mute your zoom is that JAWS had lost focus. If this happens to me, I quit JAWS and restart JAWS without having to leave the Zoom application.

This is happening when not in any specific application. Only when I go to desktop then tab down to other choices, as file explorer. I stated file manager incorrectly previusly. Nevertheless, this is happening with two different versions of Jaws, 2019 and 2022. Once within any specific app, it reverts back to the default synthesizer. When I tab down from the desktop, it goes to elequence. I know this was not doing this previously. Any suggestions? Thank you, Rick -----Original Message-----

Hi, Kevin. No. I stated the version of Zoom, so that if any shortcut keys get added in future versions of Zoom, people will know that they have an older version of the shortcut list. As Curtis said, if a recording is started in a Zoom meeting, all participants in the meeting are required to tab to the "Got it" button, to show that they have received notice that the meeting is being recorded, and that they are OK with this. Another reason that ALT plus A did not mute your zoom is that JAWS had lost focus. If this happens to me, I quit JAWS and restart JAWS without having to leave the Zoom application.

Hello Kevin:
In Zoom meetings where recording is started, a window pops up letting you know that the meeting is being recorded. Unless or until you respond to this window, you are not able to use Alt A to mute and unmute. You have to tab to “got it” or something like that.
I hope this clarifies.
