There's more than one way. The simplest, I think, is to do the following:

Go to the start menu.

Press p for Programs.

You land on Accessories. Press enter.

Arrow up or down to Entertainment and press enter.

Arrow up or down to Sound Recorder.

Press enter and tab.

Note that you can't create a file in Sound Recorder. However, if your
microphone is working, you will hear your voice echoed as you speak.

A place to go is the Worldwide Web Consortium. This organization provides
advisories as well as produces software for promoting accessibility. Google
it for the address. If you can't find it, post again and I'll retrieve it.

You're not alone. Several people have tried to reach them. It's as though
they've disappeared, and yet Webvisum continues to work with later versions

Does any person have a contact information to the owners, so I can tell that

Very thanks.

Hi,

How is it done if wanting to share a youtube link on another persons wall?

I click on share on the youtube site, select facebook, log in and then there
are two options, share on my wall or family. However, when I click on any
of the two above mentioned, it just brings up a context menu. Has anyone
shared a link on someones wall before? If so, how did you do this?

Thanks.

Re: making software accessible

chris hallsworth <christopherh40@...>

Encourage them to download and install either a demo of the commercial screen readers or one of the free ones, particularly NVDA. Encourage them to use it for their testing and development. I do this with all software companies. I get a mixed reaction. Some are more willing than others, some are even shocked a blind person is interested in their software lol! Seriously though, the more you do this to more companies the much likely they will realize how important accessibility is. Good luck.

JAWS 13 loading the wrong scripts

Ann Byrne

Writing a note in Eudora moments ago, JAWS was really sluggish. Insert-q told me that MS Word settings were loaded, and the program being executed was Eudora.exe. I closed and reopened eudora, thinking that JAWS would reload the Eudora scripts, but insert-q continued to report that Word settings were loaded and the program was Eudora.

Unloading and reloading JAWS fixed the problem. But I would have thought closing and reopening Eudora would do it. Prior to eudora I had been using Word, but why JAWS didn't release the Word scripts and wake up the Eudora scripts is a mystery. to me.

Has anyone else seen this? Short of unloading JAWS, is there a quick way to reload the scripts for the active program???

On my computer, in JAWS 13.0.638 insert-shift-r no longer reads the whole
row in a spread sheet unless all the cells are filled in. If there are
blank cells in the row, Jaws reads the first populated cell and not the
rest. This was true in JAWS 13.0.527 as well. JAWS 12 does a great job,
though.

having trouble not finding drop down menus

Deb and the girls

I have two problems:
dropdown menus not being findable for me on bill pay sites or store sites.
They are not there for me using jaws 13 and xp service pack 3.

Second, java and or javascript seems to make sections of websites illegible and or unnavigable with screen readers. Is this a trend?

JFW going silent on the Outlook credentials screen

Frank Ventura

Hi all, I am having a odd JFW issue that I don't have with System Access
or Windoweyes. When I open Outlook (either 2003 or 2007) the first thing
I get is the Outlook credentials screen where I need to put in my
password. With the other screen readers this dialog reads fine and I can
enter my password and procede. With JFW (either version 12 or 13) JAWS
becomes completely silent when this dialog pops up and only comes back
when I cancel out of the dialog. Even ALT - TAB away from the dialog
doesn't bring JAWS back. Has anyone else seen JFW going silent on the
Outlook credentials screen?
I have this problem on each computer I have tried running Windows XP,
Windows 7, or Windows 2008.
Thanks

Sincerely,
Frank M. Ventura

I just want to find out how to add a radio station to a playlist for now.
I
can click on some links including keyboard shortcuts and accessibility but
the screens ironically are mostly blank with Jaws.

I want to use Itunes but the help screen is pretty blank with Jaws 13.
This is what I get when virtualised the help window:
iTunes Help
