Re: JAWS bypass keyboard key and when to use it

Hi bill,

I always wondered if there was a quicker way of doing that, although I've
tried it and it doesn't seem to work. I'm using jaws 14. Any idea if it
should work with that version?

Hi, Paul. If you press your Caps lock key twice quickly, you should be able
to turn off caps lock without using the pass through.

Thank you.

Something I use the pass through key for is turning caps lock on and off.
Since I have my jaws key assigned to the caps lock key the only way to
turn
caps on and off is to use the pass through key. I press jaws key then 3,
which enables pass through for the next button I press, so I can then
press
the caps lock key to turn caps on or off.

Hope that example helps
