Re: PC Study Bible and Windows 7 or 8

Sue

I am just going to say that I do know someone who makes use of PC Study Bible with JAWS. There are some issues with it, but largely he has found ways to get most of the info he needs. I also know there is a contact at that company who he has talked to extensively about accessibility. I know that someone there is visually impaired and uses the software with another screen reader and has had problems with it as well. There has been some discussion of getting some scripting done to it, but I don't really know where that is from. If the person who initiated this post wants to contact me off list, I'll put them in touch with the person I know who is using it and let you compare notes.

Libronics Bible software and Windows 7 or 8

Ralph Supernaw <rhs@...>

Hi,

Has anyone used the Libronics Bible software version 3 with Windows 7 or 8
and JFW 14? I am looking at new computers but am concerned that I will lose
my ability to use Libronics.

I assume Libronics 4 is till unuseable with Windows 7 and 8.

Thanks

Re: questions why JAWS does not read in Control Panel & undoing "protected view" in Word

Hi,

Not sure about the protected mode but with control panel I had a similar
issue which I fixed by changing from category view. If you go to
control panel go to the search box and tab once it takes you to where it
says category press space and you get an option to change it to small or
large icons and either should then allow keyboard navigation.

Hope this helps

Hi,
When I am in Control Panel, I cannot use first letter navigation to find
Entries like Mail or System. JAWS is silent. I must type in the entry
into the search field. I am using Windows 7.

Also, I and others needto know how to undo "protected view " inside Word so
that one can read attached Word files.

Manyy thanks.

Just run the JAWS 14 install program. When you're prompted to do the
authorization, you can select enter manually and it should populate the
field for you with your current authorization value. Or you can just call FS
at 727-803-8600 and have them help you by giving them your JAWS serial

Jaws and TRIM

Naomi Bolter <Naomi.Bolter@...>

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone new if there was a way around Trim with Jaws?
It's used to store all of our documents at work and I'm wondering if
anyone knows of any scripts or any future developments that may assist
Trim and Jaws to talk to each other.

Any information will be greatly appreciated,

Many thanks

No, provided you record and safely store your Authorization number, you can always enter it manually if needed. This code is brailled and printed on the JAWS DVD sleeve.

I am trying to follow a course using JASW version 13. I followed all
tips on their getting started screens and I am not getting anywhere.
Java version is up to date and AccessBridge is active. Any one out there
used SkillSoft or SkillPort courses with JAWS?

Can you run that past me again? I couldn't figure out what you were actually
saying.

Re: s m a

Dave Durber

Hello Adrian and everyone:

By purchasing a user license for one of Freedom Scientific's products, regardless as to whether you purchase the additional SMA for a particular product, as a licensed customer of Freedom Scientific, ath the time of writing this message, you are able to receive free technical support from FS on the products you purchased from them.

In checking the license agreement for JAWS Version 9, I did not find a specific reference as to whether Freedom Scientific promises/guarantees free technical support for any of their products, it has been the company's practice up to this date, to provide free technical support for any of their products. However, there is nothing saying that this practice will be the case in the future.

HTH

Sincerely:

Dave Durber

Hi, Joe. SMA stands for Service Maintenance Agreement. It is your agreement
with Freedom Scientific which allows upgrades to new major versions of
Freedom Scientific products such as JAWS.
