My apologies to all for sending this to the whole list. In a hurry and hit the wrong item in my menu. How embarrassing!

Re: JAWS 14 to give away

Sue

Richard,

If no one else has claimed this copy of JAWS I'll be more than glad to have it. I'll even offer $100 to you for it if that helps. I am an adaptive technology consultant in Atlanta and I'm setting up a couple of computers to use as loaners while clients wait for Vocational Rehabilitation to get their adaptive software and such. This copy of JAWS would enable me to do that more economically.

I can be reached at 404-406-2565 or by e-mail at 404-406-2565

Thank you for your consideration.

Could you solve this by creating two or more profiles in the JAWS options

I'm experiencing a problem I never had before. Until now, I've used either
SAPI 5 or RealSpaek as an alternate say all, with Eloquence remaining the
primary or default voice for Say All. Okay, now I have the new voices, and
for the first time, I pretty impressed. I'll probably remove RealSpeak to
save space. What I want to do is make the new stuff my alternate, and
Eloquence as the main Say All, but that may not be possible. I can make
Eloquence primary, all right, but the secondary wants to default to whatever
is right beneath it, which happens to be RealSpeak. Any way to leapfrog
RealSpeak and SAPI 5 to get the arrangement I want. It's a minor thing, but
a puzzle, nonetheless. The reason I never had the problem until now is the
synthesizers I worked with were adjacent. To summarize and clarify, can I
set up a Say All with nonadjacent synthesizers?

Hi Steve & Shannon,

Below are several notes on doing this in Word 2010. Maybe they will help.

The steps to follow for turning off auto numbering and auto bulleted lists
in Word 2010 are shown below. If you choose to turn off the auto
numbering
and auto bulleting, you can always select a list you make and then apply
bullets or numbering by using the context menu activated by using the
application key or shift+F10. Also, remember that when using auto
numbering
or auto bulleting that you can always force a line not to start with a
number or a bullet by using a shift+enter key command instead of an enter
key.

If you want to turn auto numbering off in Word 2010 for all new documents
based on the normal template you can do the following:

1. While in an open Word document, press Alt+F followed by Alt+T to go
into the Word options.
2. Use down arrow twice to the Proofing tab.
3. Use tab key one time to the AutoCorrect options button and press
spacebar.
4. Use CTRL+tab until you get to the AutoFormat as you type tab.
5. Use tab key until you find a checkbox labeled "Automatic bulleted
lists." If you don't want your lists to continue being bulleted when you
use a bullet in a document then use spacebar to uncheck the item.
6. Tab one more time to the checkbox labeled "Automatic Numbered lists"
and use spacebar to remove the checkmark if you don't want to have auto
numbering used.
7. Use tab key to the OK button and press spacebar.
8. Use tab key to the OK button again and press spacebar.
Take care.

Here are detailed instructions for turning off the Autonumbering feature
in
Word 2010.

1. Press Alt H to access the Home option on the ribbon.

2. Down arrow to Paragraph and then press right arrow.

3. Down arrow again until you come to Numbers.

4. Right arrow to access the options. The top choice is none. Make
sure you are focused on that option and press Enter

5. You may need to press Escape several times to get off of the
ribbon
menus.

I tried this several times to make sure that it is correct.

Well, maybe it is a bit off topic, but I'd like to mention a very good
service:
www.syncdocs.com
It is fantastic: you can use Google Drive easily.

This link was sent to me by a company I am working for. In trying to access
their Google docs, I contacted their support people, and they sent me the
below link. Hope this is useful to some. I'd like to know how this works, as
I can't check much out these days because of the need to do one-handed
typing as a result of a broken wrist.
