The formula that worked was:

=+'sheet 1'!e6+'sheet 1'!e9

The cell in sheet 2 where you type the formula displays the results.

If you are adding two cells of one sheet & showing the total in another
sheet, the sheet name should precede both the cell references.

The formula should be =+'Sheet 1'!E6+'Sheet 1'!E9

I'm trying to link cells from one worksheet to another and at the same time
add the values of cells on that first work sheet reflected as a sum on sheet
2.

So.what I have so far is:

=+'sheet 1'!e6+e9

It shows the value of e6 on sheet 2 but doesn't add e9 to it. How do I get
the formula to add the contents of e6 and e9 from sheet 1?

As always, many thanks to all of you.

Hi everyone,

I have been fighting with my new Yoga Pro 2 laptop trying to get Outlook
2013 to work properly with Jaws 16. The issue I have is if I make a spelling
mistake, or just wish to read an email I am composing word by word using
CTRL + right or left arrow, speech will quit on me and the only way to get
it back is to alt tab away from the email message and back to it, or press
the alt key. I haven't been able to contact FS about this issue yet, as I
work and by the time I get home tech support is closed. I've thought of
sending in an email, but, as you can probably tell, it's a bit difficult to
explain exactly what's going on in an email message. Besides, I don't have
that much faith in FS tech support.

So, my question is, what other email programs work well with Jaws 16? Does
Thunderbird work with Jaws?

Thanks,

Russell

If you search the Web, you should be able to find Microsoft's specification
for User Interface Automation UIA). There is also a wikipedia article on the
subject. I read somewhere that JAWS supports it, at least in recent versions.
It is also supported, at least partially, by Mono under Linux, in case you're
thinking of developing applications for use under more than one operating
system.

Re: Formulas in excel.

If you are adding two cells of one sheet & showing the total in another sheet, the sheet name should precede both the cell references.

Your original description was good. Are you having similar problems when

We should ask if there are any JFW sixteeners out there with suggestions.

Thanks,

Russell

Try this instead:
=SUM('Sheet1'!E1,E9)
Either that or you'll need to put the sheet reference on your E9 value too.

Re: Formulas in excel.

Ann Byrne

To clarify, you want the formula =e6+e9 to be in a cell on another sheet?

Here's the easy way:

Create the formula on sheet 1.
Copy it
Go to the destination cell and press alt-control-v, which is paste special.
Back-tab once to links and press enter.

Probably you could press = in the destination cell, then copy and paste special the first part of the formula, put in the plus sign, and copy and paste special the second cell.

Good luck!
