Hi Juan,

I tried sending you the direct download link from the webpage, but for whatever reason it's not coming to the list.  I did find that there was a period at the end of the original link and it'll work if the period is removed.  The corrected link is below.

Out of curiosity, do these scripts make the "Computer ID" and "Password" edit boxes accessible? This way, if I use Teamviewer with a company like Focusrite, I'll be able to tell the agent the information they need without having to write it down in a document.

You will find below a link to free JAWS scripts for TeamViewer version 15.

As of later releases of TeamViewer, it is difficult to find your User ID and password. Once located, pressing the Left and Right arrow keys do not allow you to read the item character by character. With these scripts installed, pressing function key F1 will place the user ID and password into the JAWS virtual viewer for easier reading.

When focused on any field, you should also now be able to press the JAWS keystroke to virtualise the focused control, Shift+Insert+V.

These scripts are offered freely to the blindness community and were developed for personal use. No support is available.

I used turbo tax, self employed edition.  It was amazing.  The tool is so accessible.  All done on the web via latest jaws 2022, and google chrome.  Couldn’t have had a better experience.

To be clear, I used the web site to do my taxes. Although there were a few stumbling blocks along the way, There was always a work-around, whether having to use the Jaws or touch cursors, etc.

There is no way I could do a screen by screen explanation but I found it reasonably accessible.

Well, I was unable to even get that far.  I could not tab to any buttons, even.  I was using taxact home and business – I wonder if you were using some other version?  I could barely import last years return and after that, I could hardly read the window, jaws cursor or virtual pc cursor.

Do you perhaps have any suggestions that might help others navigate the TaxAct program, or perhaps yours would be similar to mine? For examples, when I would restart the program after walking away for a while, I needed to use the touch cursor and then tab to the Continue Where I Left Off button or whatever it is where I could then press enter. Also, often when a new question came up, all the information wouldn’t be read, and I found it easiest to use the arrow keys to first arrow up to where the information for that question began and then use the down arrow to read through all the info and then find the appropriate button on which to press enter. A couple of times I had to route the JAWS cursor to the PC cursor and then find the exit button and do a left mouse click to get out of something. And then, too, for completing some of the lines on the form, especially when several lines were completed on one screen, I had to use the touch cursor to tab through the choices to then make each of my selections. And then once done, I would activate that cursor once again and tab through the entire screen to make sure that I had indeed chosen what I meant to choose. When tabbing through the choices, though, JAWS would most often repeat the prior choice before reading the current one, so it took much more time than it should to go through some of the forms.

First, know if the account is IMAP or POP

Go to the view pull down, my version, Alt+V.

Choose change view

Tab to IMAP or POP, in my case IMAP and press enter

If I have only  IMAP accounts setup in Outlook, I would repeat and press enter on, save view for all, option, just a couple of tabs more.

My Juno is POP, so I had to open that inbox and

Go to the view pull down.

Choose change view

Tab to POP, and press enter

JAWS users will now hear accurate information when using, Insert+PageDown

Well, I had start JAWS on startup for “this user field” checked , but had not checked “all users”, so did that and it took care of it.  Since I’m only one using PC, thought the way I had it was what I needed, but apparently not.

Hi everyone, I asked about this awhile back and cannot locate the responses.  My apologies.

I have Win 11 and latest version of JAWS on Dell laptop.

When I turn on PC, Jaws is all lively and works fine for me to enter pin on log in, then promptly goes silent.

I’m forced to use keyboard commands to desktop and first letter navigation to turn JAWS back on.

How do I get JAWS to just  stay on without this interruption after log in?

Thanks, again,

Hello Eric,
I would like to find out why you have removed the talking installer from the
latest billed of JAWS?
That is no good if you are blind.

Andrew:

Can you provide more detail here. For example, were you or were you not
running a screen reader when you attempted to do the installation? Are you a
new JAWS user or simply updating to the current release? I confess that on
my system, whenever I do an installation, I do have a prior version of JAWS
running. Hence, I cannot replicate your situation.

Cordially,

Curtis Chong

Hi,
If someone is using windows 10, you can bring up Narrator for the install.
In fact, you can do most anything using the Narrator in 10 & 11.
I would say that even Narrator in windows 7 could get anyone through the
install of Jaws.

Hi Michelle,

I don't know if my idea will enable you to use the program, but try JAWS
Convenient OCR. Use the layered keystroke insert then spacebar and then o.
At this point I would try pressing w for JAWS to OCR the window. After JAWS
has finished scanning you can read the results with the JAWS cursor. The
text that got the OCR treatment will read in a different voice.

I hope that helps! Good Luck!

Take care and stay safe!

Debby

Hi everyone

I want to have Jaws and a share Trade program interact with each other. I
dowwnloaded a program called Optuma which is a graphical program that you
annalise shares. So far am getting absolutely nothing from the screen. A
sighted friend tells me there is the main screen of the program but jaws is
not recognising anything. No titles headings status bar. Tried insert plus z
routed Jaws to pc cursor, right click nothing being recognised. I am having
no issues with Jaws and other programs on my system. Any ideas I can try?
Any ideas. Am using latest Jaws, Windows 11. The company knows absolutely
nothing about accessibility, screenreaders or tts.
