I find that the Windows media player program that comes with your windows
program works pretty good with Jaws to play mp3 files.

Application key Script that works

I can confirm too that the below script works, and I know this may sound duplicative of Ann's message, but I need to add something. The old Keyboard Manager called a function called "SendApplicationsKey." When I saw that the below script merely sent the shift + f10 key, I was initially disappointed. Indeed, I was so disappointed that I nearly failed to try it. My disappointment stemmed from my experience that shift + f10 does not always duplicate the applications key or a right mouse click. In fact, I have one very important program that DEMANDS either a right mouse click or a depression of the applications key. Shift + f10 from the keyboard does not work!!!!!! Notwithstanding the foregoing, I tried the script. First, I went searching for the "SendApplicationsKey" function. It does not exist. Since I had already started the script, I inserted the {shiftF10} string from the email message. To my utter astonishment, even in the application that will not accept shift + f10 from the keyboard, it will accept this script, which appears to do nothing more than send a depression of shift + f10. If I were a person who bets, I would have bet that this is impossible. So, for those of you who thought the script isn't worth much because it just sends shift +f10, THINK AGAIN!!!! -----Original Message-----

Can be attached to key, check it. 7. Tab, and type a synopsis 8. Tab again and type a fulller description. 9. Tab, and fill in a category (I chose system) 10. Tab. Assign to hotkey. (I pressed print screen). 11. Tab. Okay. 12. Control+s to compile. Now you have this: Script ApplicationsKey () EndScript Which won't do a thing. You need to add the command {shift+f10} and compile again. Now it looks like this: Script ApplicationsKey () {shift+f10} EndScript Close the script manager and test. Re: File History Panel
David Bailes
Hi John, The date and time aren't in the tab order, or used as the name for the list of items, so I think it's Microsoft's fault really. Jaws would have to have a script for the page so that the date and time was easily accessible. The only way I can find of reading the date and time is using Jaw's touch cursor. But the number of keystrokes involved means it's not really usable. Maybe someone can find an easier method. Just for the record, this is an example of using the touch cursor. 1. Tab to one of the navigation panel buttons: previous version, restore to original version or next version. 2. Press shift + numpad plus to turn on the touch cursor. (I'm assuming desktop layout.) 3. If necessary press numpad star to switch to the advanced mode to the touch cursor. (The keystroke is a toggle.) 4. Press the following four arrow keys: up, up, up, and left. The touch cursor should now be on preview list pane. 5. Press the following six arrow keys: down, right, down, right, down, down. The touch cursor should now be on the time and date. To return to the pc cursor press numpad plus twice quickly. David. On Tue, Mar 7, 2017 at 12:41 am, John Gurd wrote:

Re: Jaws 18 & QuickBooks Online
Sieghard Weitzel <sieghard@...>
Hi Ted,
My name is Sieghard Weitzel, I am in British Columbia, Canada, and I am also in the process of evaluating Quick Books Online. I own a retail business and appreciate the fact that Intuit seems to put some effort into accessibility. I spoke to somebody from the Blindspot and he also suggested that the desktop version right now probably has better accessibility, but I very much like the fact that I can work with the online version anywhere and also feel that currently having data in the cloud is definitely the trend. I have been a Sage 50 user for many years and even before that used Simply Account and this goes back to where I started with what was known as Bedford Accounting back in the DOS days. I have bought an online subscription via my accountant who is a Quickbooks Advisor and maybe once the company information is set up and it’s down to day-to-day entries and so on it might be OK. Anyhow, I will keep your email as well and hope it’s OK if I reach out from time to time. Lastly, do you by any chance know anything about the “AccuPOS” point of sale solution? I believe this is not from Intuit, but apparently integrates closely with Quickbooks.
Best regards, Sieghard

Hi Rocco I manage product accessibility at Intuit and thank you for your interest. QuickBooks Desktop has better support for JAWS 18 when combined with the scripting that is available at My Blind Spot. We spent 18 months building a new platform for QuickBooks Online that is accessible. We are now in the process of replacing older components and pages with these new elements. It's going to take some time, but you will find improvements every week. Currently, you could use QuickBooks Online, but there are form inputs that lack labels and the company setup screens are difficult. However, the iOS and Android apps work quite well and you can manage your day to day work via the apps. You can also do some of the company settings via the apps.
