something else.
The BIOS requires sight to access, prior to booting
Windows.
Microsoft help will help with the BIOS, either
through the Be My Eyes app, or from their toll-free help line, but I don't have

Hi Madison, If you focus on the desktop and press Jaws to focus on the Jaws icon and enter, it will put you in the Jaws screen. Or your Jaws hotkey should do this too. You should hear it say options. Keyboard manager is insert 8 on the number row, but I just went into it, and insert is there, but when I try to add a keystroke, my insert isn't seen as a keystroke. It shouldn't do this all the time, but sometimes, the ALT, CONTROL, and Windows keys can get stuck, so that you must press both alt keys, both control keys, and the windows key to get them unstuck.

I just installed Firefox and it reads the same here for
me as it does for yourself at the beginning of a line in a forms field, but I
think that's because there's no blank or space at the beginning of the line
and when you navigate to the left it's running into a wall so to speak.
Put a space at the beginning and Jaws will navigate normally. I've ran
into this in other instances, but can't name any off the top of my head at the
moment.
As far as the end of the line, everything works normally
here, no ghosted letters. One thing to try is to make sure your screen is
maximized, Windows key + up arrow, will do the trick.

Just wondering if you routed Jaws to PC before trying the Jaws cursor. The PC cursor is where the computer currently has focus. When you route Jaws to PC, you can read the computer with the mouse pointer and it can read places where the PC cursor cannot. If you don't route Jaws to PC first, your mouse pointer may be behind the window that your computer is focused on at the time. Glenn

I must have something set up differently. I can press insert plus j and it brings up the jaws window and reads the current version, like it would as a heading. It won’t let me get to the menus this way unless I press alt h. Is there a setting I need to change in Jaws?
