I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'join a meeting.' You join a discord server by getting an invite link (after you click the link it simply asks if you want to join.) There are no actual 'meetings' on discord, unless of course there's some weird system I've never seen in the servers I'm a part of. You just join a voice chat when everyone else is in one, and you do that by pressing space bar on the voice channel.

And if you prefer to get the Advanced Find dialog, rather than the basic find edit box, this is exactly what you should be doing.  Being able to set search criteria that advanced find allows can be very, very handy indeed, but I use it "as needed."  Most of my searches are quick and dirty searches with the basic edit box.

I hope someone eventually straightens the versions out. This morning – without knowingly changing anything – I found what appears to be a different-looking home screen, and while managing rules is still on the File menu, it is also on the Home screen and can be reached with Alt+H, R, R, U to create a rule, or Alt+H, r, R, L to manage rules.

 

After I pressed Alt+H that keystroke appeared on my braille display. When I pressed the first “R” nothing happened; but when I pressed the second the “Create Rule” dialog came up, and from there I could tab to “Manage Rules”. Pressing Alt+H, R, R, L would take me directly there.

 

Why this did not work the other day I have no idea whatever.

It appears that at some point I'm going to have to sit down with someone who has Office 2021 and M365 and get some screen shots of the various ribbons and the file backstage view to see what's on them and where.  This is definitely a recent change and if it's occurred in Office 2021 it will certainly have occurred in M365.

I hate it when what had been many years, and versions, of "standard arrangements" get changed.  But it's all part of how software works over time.  But I have no intention of replacing Office 2016 anytime soon, so I'm going to need to acquire the keyboard shortcuts by actually looking at what's shown when you hit ALT plus the ribbon letter for all the ribbons in a given Office suite program.

I am a rookie-rookie but I do have Outlook 2021.

 

I think you can press Alt+H, then Shift+tab once, and you are at the search edit box. I am not sure if this is what you want or if there is a quickjer way, but I hope it helps.

Then it sounds like Outlook 2021 is even more substantially changed from previous versions. Assuming 365 follows these changes, I’m going to stick with Outlook 2016 for as long as it’s supported.

moderated pdf files and bookmarks?

If I have a pdf that I’m reading and I want to stop and come back to it later, is there a way to put in a bookmark? If so, how do I go back to that bookmark later?

I have Outlook 2021.  I used to be able to invoke the search command on Outlook 2021 for e-mail messages in a specific folder by pressing F3 key.  But now it doesn’t work.  I have no clue on how I can pull up the search command for e-mail messges.  Would you please help?  I have JAWS 2022 current build.
