A clean instllation might help - you could upgrade while doing so and just re-install everything in Windows 10. My Windows 10 experience is better than my Windows 7 experience.

Reactivate your JAWS and that should fix things. I had to do that too.

I had not heard of Grammarly, so I did a google search. Here is one line from their home page: “Grammarly helps you write mistake-free on Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and nearly anywhere else you write on the web.”
It is for writing on the web, not in Word. If you are using Word on the web, then I’d suggest calling the Microsoft accessibility team and see if they have any ideas.
If someone else knows a way to get it to work in Word, I’m sure they will chime in.

Since updating to JAWS 18, my 2nd computer always shows the SMA count = is 0
Peter Tesar
Hello, I always keep my 2 computers up to date with the latest versions of Win 10 and Jaws 18.
A year ago, and after installing Jaws 18, on both computers, I purchased the SMA. Only my primary (desktop) shows that the SMA upgrades remaining is 2. My secondary (laptop) still shows the remaining upgrade count is 0.
I have always updated the primary computer
first, whenever a
new version of Jaws came out. The laptop was always updated
after the desktop. Before Jaws 18, both computers had the same
SMA upgrades remaining.
If the laptop shows that there is zero SMA upgrades remaining, what will happen when I install the new Jaws 2018 on my laptop?

For the most part, Word 2013 will work on Windows 10. For now, I recommend staying with Windows 7 if it meets your needs. But in the long-term, you should think about moving on, especially from 2019 onwards. Cheers, Joseph

Since I have had the pc for so long, it has definitely been verified as a 64-bit version. Thank you, anyway. I am not sure, but it might be possible I am running a 32-bit version of IE, but I don't see where that should make any difference. Whenever other updates have come along and automatic checking of my pc was done, it always showed up as a 64-bit version. This was a first for me. Thanks for the suggestion, but I do have two folders.

Hi Carol,

Your PC hardware may support 64 bit operating systems, but that doesn't mean you can't have a 32 bit version of Windows 7 installed. The easiest way to check is as follows: 1. Open the Run command with Windows Key+R and type c:\ and then press enter. This will take you to the C (root) Drive. 2. Type "P" and check if you have one or two folders called Program Files": If you have a second folder which is called "Program Files (x86)" you have Windows 7 64 Bit installed. If you only have one folder called "Program Files" without anything else yu have Windows 7 32 Bit. You can close this window with Alt+F4 after you check. Best regards, Sieghard

It's not the information bar, it's part of the web page and you won't get there with the virtual cursor.

I just usually Google "Download Chrome" and use the first search result. It may no longer support XP, but I'm pretty sure it's fine on 32 bit systems. Once you click download there is an "Accept" button you need to click and the only way I ever managed to do it is with the Jaws cursor.
