Jed Barton <jedbarton@...>
Hey guys,
I am trying internet explorer, and in gmail when I go to my inbox with alt I, it doesn't work. I am also trying compose an email, with alt c and it doesn't work. Running jfw and the latest explorer. Any ideas why? When I bring up the links it says inbox alt plus I. Anyone had this problem?

use control l and you will get all the bookmarks and you can use the search function to go to any bookmark in the list. thats why i add my own short description to the beginning of a saved bookmark so i can search on it better to review or delete them.

ok then how do you get to your master list of bookmarks? This is what i don't get. It makes no sense what so ever. I tried control shift B, and it said show all bookmarks, but none of them are there. The only way i can seem to get to them is go to bookmarks, then just arrow down through all 300 plus of them. What am i missing. Can you go through step by step, cause obviously something isn't right. All i see is all these bookmarks toolbars and other useless junk that doesn't get me to where i want to go.

Does Jaws 16 support Chrome?
Lee Maschmeyer
Hi folks,
Somehow my Internet Explorer went AWOL so I used this as an excuse to switch to Chrome. But it's not working very well. The most flagrant malfunction is the Detroit Symphony's site for webcasts, dso.org/live. I can't see anything on this site. If I leave off the "/live" it seems to work but this needs more investigation. But the /live page ought to work and doesn't. Any ideas? Thanks, -- Lee Maschmeyer "Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise." --Lewis Carroll

I did make a review when they had asked me to rate my experience. I told them of my troubles. I did get a response, canned but a response. I then wrote back and filled in a bit more about the screen reader, the web browsers I tried and some of the navigation problems. I can only hope that they do send it to the developers and use it. I can tell you that the IOS app works A LOT better if that is something you have access to. It was terrible but now is much better. So someone must have listened to customer feedback. With luck they are still listening when it comes to the windows based access to the platform. Shannon

It has been getting better, but it is still a pain. After clicking on an item you want in your cart try "Control home" which should get you to a section allowing you to select quantity and then allow you to add it to the cart as well as make it a favorite. One other thing I discovered is that if you start off using your favorites list and then want to jump back to the search box you have to alt left arrow and then drop down to the search box. I've only used it twice and the service was good, bummer about their less than accessible web site. I found myself lacking a few things for my contribution to Thanks Giving. I thought I would order from Instacart and have the missing items delivered to me at work so I had them when I go home. What an ordeal! The web page was only navigable with the tab key. None of the quick nav keys worked. It kept edititing the search field when I tried. I couldn't seam to get the buffer to come back. I tried it with Chrome, IE, and Jaws 18 and Jaws 2018. I have auto forms mode turned off and it is set to manual. The escape key would not do anything to allow me to read the page. You have to tab your self silly! And when you press on the very verbosely labelled button for add, a window popps up with the picture of the item. You have to get that closed to move on. Don't hit alt f4 because it closes the browser. Has anyone used this with success? I was getting so frustrated I asked for help to finish. Is it just me or is that site built badlly? Is there a trick? I thought this might be a really nice and convenient thing but if it is that hard to do, no way!! I tried it on the iphone with the app and it was also horrible. Thanks Shannon

Hi again, Jed. I have all my bookmarks in a folder which I created. I called it General. When I use CONTROL plus SHIFT plus B, it says show all bookmarks. If I arrow up and down, I get General and Feeds. Since all my bookmarks are in General, I press ENTER on General, and it says tree view. Then I can arrow up and down through my bookmarks.
