It may depend on what keyboard it is. On my ErgoK 860, the key between F-12 and backspace will switch the function keys back and fourth. I don't know if the 360 has this.

These steps will work, but where I think he is having problems, is when you
have made the first two selections, you are in a window containing the
criteria above, and you have to space bar on the first one, like "from
people" and then tab to add, and then you have to go back and space bar on
what to do with it, like, move it to a specified folder.
Than after that part, you have to name the rule.

This week's tip describes email filters using Outlook Express and its rules
based system:

1. Create mail folders for Jokes, Spam Saved mail, etc by RIGHT clicking on
Local Folders from the folder list, then clicking on New Folder. Creating
folders will give you a chance to really organize and sort email with this
rules technique

2. Click on Tools -> Message Rules -> Mail

3. In the first box, choose a parameter like "where the subject contains
specific words" (you can choose more than one parameter) OR where an email
address appears in the To or CC

4. In the second box, choose an action like "delete it" or "move to
specified folder"

5. In the third box, click on any underlined words to set the parameter (ex:
specified words = spam or viagra)

6. In box four, name your rule something descriptive

7. Click OK

8. Click New and repeat the steps to add new rules

Hello Joseph,

Can you please provide more information about your system? Are you really
using Outlook Express, or is it Outlook? And if it is Outlook, what version
(2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, 221 or 365, or from Outlook.com)? And what version
of Windows?

If it is Outlook and Windows 10/11, you can reach the "Create Rule" dialog
by pressing AltH, R, R, U. Or you can reach the Rules & Alerts manager with
Alt+R, R, L. In Outlook 2021 this can be found on the File tab.

If I remember this from the program the other day these are inline frames. You don’t want to turn them off globally. It will turn off things like youtube videos in the middle of pages too. Go to setting center, use control shift W instread of d. Then type inline in the search box and arrow down and check or uncheck it. Press enter and then ok. It will be gone for that page. I’ve also discovered that sometimes f9 gives just the article and not those ads.

While this might happen in some places, this sounds like a new JAWS feature related to tracking changes in documents. One place you might see this is on a  shopping site where the price is listed as 12.99 and then crossed out and a 8.99  price is glowing in your face. There is a rather new feature in HTML to indicate that.
I would expect that the JAWS  features provided in Microsoft Word for reading with track changes should also control this on web pages, but I don't remember the details.

Subject: trouble attaching a PDF

Hi all,

I’m trying to send something to a friend of mine that was sent to me as a PDF (I figured it would be) but when I go to attach the file it’s not showing up in the list of recently viewed files even though I’ve looked at it; it opens in Edge. So can someone please tell me how to attach this file so I can send it to my friend? I know how to attach a file but I’ve never sent a PDF to someone or at least not one that opens in Edge. Really hope someone can help me as I really want to get her feedback!! Using latest versions of Edge, Jaws, Microsoft 365 and Windows 11.

Madison:

You must first save the PDF somewhere on your computer’s hard drive. If it opens up in Edge, you may find a Download button near the top of the first page. Or, try pressing Control S to see if the Save dialog wants to save the file as a PDF.

Cordially,

Hi, Madison. The first thing you want to do is to locate the pdf file on your drive. Once you have done that, copy the file, not the file contents, to the clipboard with CONTROL plus C. In other words, don't open the file, just copy it to the clipboard, once you have Arrowed to it.

Once this has been done, Open Outlook, and start a new message to the recipient. Once you are in the body of the message, and have typed the message, press ENTER at the end of the message, so there is a blank line at the end of your message.

Find the blank line at the end of your message, then use CONTROL plus V to paste the pdf file into the message. The file should now be attached to the E-mail message.
