It may depend on what keyboard it is. On my ErgoK 860, the key between F-12 and backspace will switch the function keys back and fourth. I don't know if the 360 has this.

thanks glenn and don't no how to tell the filter to send all the e-mails
that are sent hope I am saying this correctly not to my joseph machise
account,they can all go to my gmail account and if there are any e-mails
from my joseph machise account they will go in to just my inbox, another
words all the e-mails will not just go in the inbox and I can make some
other folders from nancies AudioOurPlace@... and the
e-mails from that groop will go in that folder

These steps will work, but where I think he is having problems, is when you
have made the first two selections, you are in a window containing the
criteria above, and you have to space bar on the first one, like "from
people" and then tab to add, and then you have to go back and space bar on
what to do with it, like, move it to a specified folder.
Than after that part, you have to name the rule.

If I remember this from the program the other day these are inline frames. You don’t want to turn them off globally. It will turn off things like youtube videos in the middle of pages too. Go to setting center, use control shift W instread of d. Then type inline in the search box and arrow down and check or uncheck it. Press enter and then ok. It will be gone for that page. I’ve also discovered that sometimes f9 gives just the article and not those ads.

I find that you can use the JAWS pass through key - JAWS Key+3 and then press Enter to open the sub menue and then use arrows. Doesn't always work but sometimes you need to try a number of different options.

You might have to select the link, then copy it to the clipboard, then paste it into your browser.

I do not use Kindle in any flavor, so if there is a better way, I don't know it. But that approach should work if nothing else does.

The other thing you can do, Madison, instead of attaching the pdf file, is, if the pdf file is on a website, send the person the link to the file, instead of attaching the file itself to the e-mail.

I am using JAWS 2020 under Windows 10.  I am reading a book in Kindle for PC.  Periodically, I run across a link within the text.  How do I activate these links?  If it were a webpage, I would press enter on the link, or press the spacebar on the link or even press the applications key on the link.  None of these work on a link in a book in Kindle for PC.

You must first save the PDF somewhere on your computer’s hard drive. If it opens up in Edge, you may find a Download button near the top of the first page. Or, try pressing Control S to see if the Save dialog wants to save the file as a PDF.

You must first save the PDF somewhere on your computer’s hard drive. If it opens up in Edge, you may find a Download button near the top of the first page. Or, try pressing Control S to see if the Save dialog wants to save the file as a PDF.

Hi all,

I’m trying to send something to a friend of mine that was sent to me as a PDF (I figured it would be) but when I go to attach the file it’s not showing up in the list of recently viewed files even though I’ve looked at it; it opens in Edge. So can someone please tell me how to attach this file so I can send it to my friend? I know how to attach a file but I’ve never sent a PDF to someone or at least not one that opens in Edge. Really hope someone can help me as I really want to get her feedback!! Using latest versions of Edge, Jaws, Microsoft 365 and Windows 11.

Hi, Madison. The first thing you want to do is to locate the pdf file on your drive. Once you have done that, copy the file, not the file contents, to the clipboard with CONTROL plus C. In other words, don't open the file, just copy it to the clipboard, once you have Arrowed to it.

 

Once this has been done, Open Outlook, and start a new message to the recipient. Once you are in the body of the message, and have typed the message, press ENTER at the end of the message, so there is a blank line at the end of your message.

 

Find the blank line at the end of your message, then use CONTROL plus V to paste the pdf file into the message. The file should now be attached to the E-mail message.
