No problem, and no apologies needed, perhaps my explanation of what I was looking for could have been better.

thanks for the explanation! I've only bought Logitech kb300 series keyboards for as long as I can remember; and, until this weekend's discussion, I have no idea that this fn functionality existed in general and specificly to the KBs I use everyday. And, truthfully, I never cared. I'll have to play with this and see if it gives me any new practical use. Thanks for explaining and outlining the KB360 uses of that key.

Quoting from Loy's email: " I have a Logitech wireless keyboard with aFN key between alt and cnt., but it does not seem to have any function." I have a Logitech K360 keyboard, and the FN key does indeed have some functionality with the Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys. I found out what the functions were by going into JAWS help (JAWS Key plus 1) and then pressing the key combinations. On my keyboard FN with Page Up activates the Applications key, for example. Cordially, Curtis Chong

I do apologize. Actually the only way I can let you guys see the information is if I give somebody the logon information because it’s a paid subscription service. But if somebody wants to assist me with it I’ll be glad to give the data they need individually.

That set-up would seem ideal in my mind. In most situations, I use multi-media keys routinely with f9 raising volume, f10 lowering it and f11 to mute/unmute. Occasionally, I have a need to use f11 to turn a browser into full screen mode. Now, I have to arrow down to do this; it would be nice to have a toggle such as that of a gaming kb as a part of a regular kb.

One thing to be aware of if you aren't already, checking for updates is considered qan external service so you will not get those any more.

If you have one of the gaming keyboards for a desktop it does have a FN key
and it automatically forces the function keys to multimedia keys and you must
press the fn + shift key to lock the function keys so they will function in
function key mode rather than multimedia mode.

And I’ve noticed that when I’m on a webpage and I want to hit insert plus F7 to go to a links list, it doesn’t work, same with insert plus F4 to unload JAWS (Not that I would ever actually want to do that, but I was just trying to mess around with it). It’s like my function keys aren’t working in the way that I need them to. Like for example, I believe it is my F5 key that functions as a mute button right now, but I don’t want that, I want them to just function as regular F one through F 12 keys. I posted on a Facebook group, and I was told to do the function key plus escape, and I’ve tried that and it still is the same way. Is JAWS supposed to say anything when I perform that action of function key plus escape? Usually I’m pretty tech savvy, but this not being able to do insert plus F7 for the links list is kind of baffling right now. I know I can use the Hey Sharky feature and have it pull up links that way, but still, I’d like to have the normal key command work. Thanks. With JAWS set to run from the System Tray, the JAWS window is accessed easily, by pressing INSERT+J, when you are using the JAWS Desktop keyboard layour or, CTRL+SHIFT+CAPS LOCK+J, when you are using the JAWS laptop keyboard layout.
