Re: Forward Outlook Emails and Graphics
Barbara <batterseye@...>
Hello Again,
My sister viewed the emails after I made the Outlook change to HTML. She said the graphics are still messed up. Is there an additional setting I should look at for just forwarding messages? Still puzzled on what to do.
Thanks.

I’m not Brian, but as far as checking which format you are using, hit alt+f then t for options. \ Arrow down once to mail, and tab twice and it should say, compose in this format. If it says html, then you are using html for sending. If it doesn’t, arrow up or down until you get to html and then hit enter or tab to OK and hit enter.

Hi Brian,
I do not recall ever making a choice for plain text. Where can I confirm this in Outlook?
I can forward you a message off list if you provide me the email address for this. Smile. I did not keep the ones we recently had this experience with, but I will forward a similar one which I believe will show the situation.
Thanks.

That's right, it's not restricted to Chrome. All Web browsers have spell-checkers. That's one of the first things I do when I try a new one is to turn those annoying things off. Spell-checker, grammar-checker, they all go off. I was properly taught to spell and construct sentences in school. I neither need nor desire software to correct me. Actually, I'd much prefer to have a person do it than a piece of code, like my good pal Dave Durber, ha ha, who's been doing it for years, whether I need it or not! LOLLOL! Hello GezimL
I do not think that in this case JAWS is to blame.
I have had the same problme on a number of sites over several years. What causes
this problem I have no idea. I often come across this problem, when I am
composing an email message to a company from their web site, -either to
get further information or to pose a question. It is extremely annoying. At
present, I cannot think of where and when I last had this problem.

Sieghard Weitzel <sieghard@...>
You can press Alt+Enter to bring up the properties and find it there with the Jaws cursor otherwise it depends whether you are you using Windows 7 or Windows 10. In Windows 7 you have to go into Folder Options and over to the second tab, can’t recall what it is called. Here you find a treeview with a bunch of stuff and among those you can select to show extensions for known file types, show hidden files and folders etc. In Windows 10 it’s much easier and you can do it on the fly from th eView menu or use the shortcut Alt+V followed by H and F. Pressing it once will show extensions and pressing this key combination again will hide them since the setting is a checkbox called “File Name Extensions”. If you go via the View menu, press Alt+V, down arrow once then use Control+right arrow which quickly takes you to the correct group of controls called “Show/Hide Toolbar”.

Is this Outlook 2016? If I go to File > Account Settings and then to the data file tab all my accounts are listed including the full path to the data file. In Outlook 2016, however, they have an “OST” extension. Also, and this is the beauty if you use IMAP or set up an Outlook.com account with exchange active sync, there really is no need to back up these files. If I get a new computer or for some reason want to set up my accounts from scratch I just delete the accounts and then re-create them and all my mail, contacts and so on will sync back down from the servers and my local copy of the data file is created new.
