In a web browser world where Google Chrome tends to dominate, Microsoft is working fast and furious to show that Edge is more than competitive. Using the
Chromium open-source option, Edge already takes the best
of Chrome’s speed and twists it into something that can give it the “edge”. From its first preview to the world in 2015 to now, Edge has grown in significant
ways and is more than worth considering for any Windows 10 user. That it adds a deep set of keyboard shortcuts to make your browsing even faster is all
the more reason to give it a close look.

Why Use Microsoft Edge

On a surface level, Edge is a browser not unlike the many other names you are familiar with like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc. While Chrome and Edge are
similar under the hood thanks to the Chromium rendering engine, that is pretty much where the similarities end. Privacy in particular is a huge reason
users of other browsers should take a hard look at Edge. With three simple settings of Basic, Balanced and Strict, Edge users can set their own privacy
level and know that they are secure. Edge also blocks “potentially unwanted apps” from installing which is not unlike other browser protective measures
but Edge seems to take it up a notch. Beyond security, Edge offers a clean looking design that feels right at home on both Windows 10 and Mac.

When you start to look at more of Edge’s unique features, that’s when it really stands out from the competition.
New features like Collections
that help you keep track of your ideas on the web are stand-out features that can really change how you browse the web. Speaking of browsing the web,
built-in price comparison tools will help you shop online with Edge and save money. Combine price comparison and a coupon discovery tool and Edge can help
put money back into your pocket. Parents can rest assured that not only does Edge have strong built-in privacy protection, but “Kids Mode” enables a browser
made for young children. No matter what mode you use Edge in, extras like a huge list of keyboard shortcuts will help you browse faster and more securely
without thinking twice. Let’s take a look at some of the best keyboard shortcuts so you can get started with Microsoft Edge today.

I got one made by startech.com a while back.  It works, but needed a sighted person to turn on the headphone jack in its software, otherwise you had to plug headphones into the speaker jack.  A nice little box other than that.

It is a Creative Labs USB sound card. I am sorry, I cannot remember the model number. On this particular sound card, the output to an external amplifyer, is through 2 RCA/Phono sockets. All the other connections, are 3.5 jack sockets.

Dave,
I use this USB hub for a soundcard too.
It gives you three USB ports, and has line in and out for audio.
I think it is 21 dollars on Amazon.
I use it for Raspberry PI projects, but I have used it in my windows 7 as well.
It's about the size of a small harmonica, maybe thinner than that.

If you read any blogs from blind people they tend to favour WordPresss. It's the big daddy after all.

Hello.
Don't use that app so can't tell you about the unlabeled buttons. But
"rooms" are a function of the facebook live feature (I think that's what it
is called) and allow users to audio and video chat. I don't think they have
anything to do with normal posts, per se.

What are all those unlabelled buttons at the top of the page?

Well, just try typing in text you think may be in your comment. I don't
really know there's anything else to suggest, besides accessing Facebook a
different way. Even then, the search results may be equally unsatisfying.

Hallo Madison.
Are you using the regular facebook site?

The search function there might be superior, but I don't know.
If you use mbasic, I'm dubious about success -- you could try searching for
relevant text in the search box and see if anything coems up. It might.
Facebook really isn't as good as the old (well, some of them are still
around) message boards/forums as far as locating threads and messages goes.
It's a serious downgrade...

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there's any way to search for a specific reply/comment
to something that I posted back at the end of October 2020? I posted this to
a few different groups and I don't remember which one this comment/reply was
posted too, nor do I remember the responder's name. I know I could go
through old posts, but there's been a lot of posts on these groups since so
it'd take me forever, so it'd be really grate if I could just search for the
specific thing that I'm looking for. Using latest Jaws, Windows 10 and

I've used both, IOS and PC versions. Sometimes I have to use my Bluetooth keyboard to send a bill to a client using my iPhone and to switch to my PC just to use Facebook is far to cumbersome.

It's probably quite significant -- one is a mobile app experience, the other is a website experience, though stripped down heavily from the regular site with very static content.

I never did bother to download Facebook on my phone, though I do use it from my pCs plenty.

Well, just try typing in text you think may be in your comment. I don't really know there's anything else to suggest, besides accessing Facebook a different way. Even then, the search results may be equally unsatisfying.

Hallo Madison.
Are you using the regular facebook site?

The search function there might be superior, but I don't know.
If you use mbasic, I'm dubious about success -- you could try searching for relevant text in the search box and see if anything coems up. It might.
Facebook really isn't as good as the old (well, some of them are still
around) message boards/forums as far as locating threads and messages goes.
It's a serious downgrade...

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there's any way to search for a specific reply/comment to something that I posted back at the end of October 2020? I posted this to a few different groups and I don't remember which one this comment/reply was posted too, nor do I remember the responder's name. I know I could go through old posts, but there's been a lot of posts on these groups since so it'd take me forever, so it'd be really grate if I could just search for the specific thing that I'm looking for. Using latest Jaws, Windows 10 and firefox. Thanks Madison
