Marsha,
How about Insert+Spacebar, then the letter "S"? Just remember to do it again
to turn it back on.

Re: Putting Jaws to sleep
I am confused. I did that, and it appears that JAWS will put the braille
driver to sleep, but what I want to stop is the speech. I want to mute the
synthesizer, but keep the braille.

Re: reading numbered lists in Word 2003
Hi,
How do you get JAWS to read the line numbers if you had line numbers on? And
I have Word 2010 and I don't see any option for bullets only numbers is that
a option? I'm using JAWS 12.

Re: Putting Jaws to sleep
Ed,
One thing that putting JAWS to sleep allows one to do is to use a braille
display without speech. This is useful in a program like Kurzweil or a
braille translator.
