If you're using Outlook Express, it's Alt+F4 to shut down the address
dialog.

You can use either sharpies or autohotkey to reassign the keys on the
keyboard. Both are free and easy to find.
If you use JFW with the laptop layout, you have little need for an insert
key, since

Using a netbook that doesn't have a working INS (insert) key.
The 2nd key from the right on the top rowe says Print Screen. The print
indicator on the key itself says ins.

Ctrl+1=inbox,
Ctrl+2=calendar
Ctrl+3=contacts.

It might be, but you need to try it to tell. Most of these trading programs are highly graphical, and not too usable. I'm surprised you can't try it. They almost always have ttrial periods for these
