Usually when you install JAWS the shortcut is automatically assigned to your
desktop shortcut. What happens if you press Ctrl+Alt+J? Does it bring up the
JAWS dialog?
Then unload JAWS with

I tried the direct download.
It said "configuring system for JAWS" and started ticking.
It never stopped ticking for an extremely long time.
I turned the pc off, and when I turned it on again, JAWS

things that might be happening on the computer such as Instant Messages etc.

How about Insert+Spacebar, then the letter "S"? Just remember to do it again
