I've found the largest benefit is by making the elimination global across
all web sites. e.g. the Twitter, Facebook, and other twaddle that seems to
proliferate.

Me, too, but we each work our own way. Following up on the message I just posted, I did determine that F7 still brings up the spell-checker in Outlook 13.

Do not know. My preference is to have auto correction turned off, as it
actually irritates the heck out of me.
I just do a spell-check automatically before sending or submitting.

I am using Win/7 64 bit. I tried doing the restart, but still there. The no selection was in all apps including the C Drive using W/E to get there. I will do another re-boot and see what
