Yes, when I'm online jaws will not recite anything I have typed, so it is impossible for me to check spelling and go over a sentence I have just typed for instance to ensure it makes sense. I hear

Do you mean when you are online?
I know that sometimes I cannot read what I type in an edit box, and I too, would like an answer about getting around that little issue.

I too, do not have any issues with crome, except for one. When I
compose an email, or enter a text field, JAWS does not announce the
previous line/word/character, so you cannot hear anything

I am having no problem with google chrome. I wonder why some do and some do not?
I run windows 8 with Jaws 14 and have another computer which I am on now that is mac and it is fine with voice over.

I have actually gotten it to work with JAWS 14, and I imagine it would work
with 15. I didn't do anything special, so I really can't help if it doesn't
work. It wasn't as accessible as Internet

You must first plug the USB head phones into the tower. Then go into JAWS utility menu. There is a place there to change which sound card JAWS voices through.
