Re: speakers
There is also likely a "speakers" icon in the tray area.
To find it that way you can hit jaws+f11, go down to "Speakers",
select the right click once option then select open volume

Re: Alt + Tab
You've got a stuck control key. Tap both of them quickly a half a dozen
times or more to unstick it.

Re: speakers
Go to the Windows search box with the Win key and type "sound" without the quotations. Arrow down and you'll hear "control panel." Arrow down one more time to "sound" and press enter.

Yes, but in Windows 7 and later that's not the only thing that comes up. Do Windows-U, and tab down twice.

Heres A faster way in windows 8be to press windows + r, and type "wordpad".
I think this would work in windows 7 and earlier, but I'm not sure... note,
leave the quotes out in the run dialog

Yes, it works back to Windows 95, when Wordpad was introduced. Typing
notepad goes back at least to Windows 3.0 too.

Hi Judith,
To access Wordpad: In Windows 7 or earlier, open the Start menu. then open "Windows Accessories, and click on "WordPad." You can also right click on it there, and add it to your desktop.
