MS Word provides options for misspelled words or choices of words that
appear incorrect. Both spelling and grammar checkers must be on. I think
they might even work as you type, but I've never tried

It does work better than Jaws in IE 10 with the pages that prove difficult.

They could be smart quotation marks which you can tun off under options on
the file menu, I think it is the format option.

I agree. If your machine supports 64 bit, you should definitely go for it. The advantage is that 64 uses more than 6 GB of ram, which will make your PC a bit fast.
